Note1
The upper age-limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Posts mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.
  - A candidate who holds substantively a permanent post in the particular Department/Office concerned. This relaxation will not be admissible to a probationer appointed against a permanent post in the Department/Office during the period of his probation.
  - A candidate who has been continuously in a temporary service on a regular basis in the particular Department/Office for at least 3 years on the 1st August, 2008.<br

  5. I am S.Karthik. My date of birth is 29-05-1986. I am working in BSNL since 2009 as Junior Engineer(erstwhile T.T.A)-group C. On 27-11-2017 I am promoted as Junior Telecom Officer (group-B). Am I eligible to claim age relaxation up to 35 years of age for appearing engineering service examination under column 1 (Department of Telecommunication) as BSNL comes under Department of Telecommunication

    1. Hello sir, did you get any information regarding your queries. Actually i think as mentioned in the advt of ESE the age is relaxable for Govt. Servants who have been in a service of atleast three years continuously in the Departments mentioned in the column. Please inform as you get to know any other information regarding the same

  16. IES 2019 will be conducted in the month of January 2019. Candidates are called in to apply for the examination from 26th September 2018 (tentative). Union Public Services Commission will be organizing the examination for the IES 2019. The tentative dates are shared here. It is advised though the candidates must keep a track on the regular updates for any changes in the dates of the examination.
